Heat the water or soup then add salt to taste. Cook the fine-grain polenta, stir well and reduce temperature to the lowest heat. Leave to cook until the mixture becomes thick in consistency. Cover and leave to one side for a few minutes and before serving, stir through with a fork.
Excellent as a side dish with juicy meat, goulash, soups and stews.
The flavour can also be enhanced with fresh herbs of the season, cooked diced vegetables, roasted bacon or onions, cream cheese, Parmesan or a small amount of whipped cream.Print recipe
