Sweet polenta as a side dish

Soft and creamy polenta

  • 100 g fine-grain Steirerkraft polenta
  • 400 ml water or milk or half water, half milk
  • 30 g butter
  • 1/2 tsp salt

More solid version

  • 140 g Steirerkraft fine-grain polenta
  • 400 ml water or soup
  • 1/2 tbsp salt

Preparation

serves 4 as a side dish | serves 2 as a main dish

Heat the water or soup then add salt to taste. Cook the fine-grain polenta, stir well and reduce temperature to the lowest heat. Leave to cook until the mixture becomes thick in consistency. Cover and leave to one side for a few minutes and before serving, stir through with a fork.
