Styrian Trio: Pumpkin Seed Oil Curd Spread, Scarlet Runner Bean Hummus, Spring Spread

With just a few ingredients and minimal effort, curd cheese combined with Styrian pumpkin seeds, pumpkin seed oil, and scarlet runner beans transforms into wonderfully fresh and versatile creations. Spreads are simply the perfect companion for any snack table – quick to make and always a treat. This is how good simple cooking can taste.

Vegetarian with pumpkin seed oil with pumpkin seeds
Pumpkin Seed Oil Curd Spread
- 250 g curd cheese (regular or low-fat quark)
- 2 tbsp sour cream
- 4 tbsp Steirerkraft Pumpkin Seed Oil PGI
- 2 tbsp Steirerkraft coarsely chopped pumpkin seeds
- salt
- pepper
- grated horseradish
Scarlet Runner Bean Hummus
- 250 g Steirerkraft Styrian scarlet runner beans PDO, ready-to-eat (drained)
- 2 tbsp curd cheese
- 4 tbsp Steirerkraft Pumpkin Seed Oil PGI
- 1 pinch cumin
- 1 clove garlic (optional)
- 1 splash lemon juice
- salt
- pepper
Spring Spread
- 250 g curd cheese
- 3 tbsp sour cream
- 3 tbsp carrots (grated)
- 3 tbsp horseradish (grated)
- 2 tbsp Steirerkraft Pumpkin Seed Oil PGI
- 2 tbsp Steirerkraft coarsely chopped pumpkin seeds
- salt
- pepper
Preparation
Pumpkin Seed Oil Curd Spread: Mix all ingredients well with a mixer or wooden spoon and season with salt and pepper. Feel free to experiment with the quantities as you like.
Scarlet Runner Bean Hummus: Purée all ingredients with a hand blender or high-speed blender and season with salt and pepper. Depending on the consistency, add a little more pumpkin seed oil while blending if needed. The garlic clove is optional and can be left out.
Spring Spread: Grate the carrot, then mix well with the remaining ingredients. Season generously with salt and pepper.
Don't tell anyone
There are no limits when it comes to seasoning and variations. The spreads taste especially fresh when left to sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes before serving – this allows the flavours to blend even better.
