This is how you can turn simple pumpkin seeds into an aromatic recipe for any kitchen! This homemade pumpkin seed salt adds crunch, a nutty flavor, and that certain something to vegetables, bread, eggs, or salads—and it only requires two ingredients.

  • Roast the pumpkin seeds in a pan without oil over medium heat. Stir regularly until they begin to smell pleasantly nutty.
  • Allow the roasted pumpkin seeds to cool completely—this is important so that they do not become a sticky mass when blended.
  • Place the cooled pumpkin seeds in a blender or food processor and chop coarsely. Then add the coarse salt to the chopped seeds and blend until everything is well mixed.
  • Pour the pumpkin seed salt into a clean screw-top jar or a nice spice jar. Sealed airtight, it will keep for several months.
