Parmesan and pumpkin seed crackers

  • 45 g Parmesan cheese (freshly grated)
  • 10 g Steirerkraft pumpkin seeds coarsely chopped
  • 10 g Steirerkraft pumpkin seeds natural organic

The simplest and quickest snack ever: two ingredients, zero stress—and in no time at all, you’ll have something wonderfully crispy on your plate!

 

  • First, finely grate the Parmesan cheese. Place eight small piles of Parmesan (approx. 1 tbsp per cracker) on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper (or a microwave-safe plate lined with parchment paper) and flatten them slightly. Sprinkle the pumpkin seeds over the piles. Leave enough space between the mounds, as the crackers will spread during baking.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180 °C (top/bottom heat) for approx. 10 minutes until golden brown. Remove from the oven and leave to cool briefly on the baking tray until the crackers have hardened.
  • Alternatively, place the prepared portions on a plate lined with baking paper in the microwave and heat at approximately 800 watts for about 125 seconds (2 minutes 05 seconds). Then allow to cool slightly.
